Advertise a standby price
Your listing stays exactly as it is. Add a second, lower price for nights you would rather fill than leave empty.
A SECOND PRICE POINT FOR YOUR PROPERTY
You only get one price point. Price too high, and the night sits empty. Price too low, and you leave money on the table. standbnb adds a second price - much lower, and you make the call 48 hours before check-in. Say yes and standbnb sets the discount and makes the booking on your own Airbnb or Booking.com listing. Say no and we show your guest a hotel or alternative property.
THE PROCESS / FOUR STEPS
Your listing stays exactly as it is. Add a second, lower price for nights you would rather fill than leave empty.
Someone books that night at your standby price. Your calendar is untouched and your listing stays live at its normal rate.
We notify you two days before check-in. Take the deal and standbnb sets the discount and makes the booking on your Airbnb or Booking.com listing. Decline and your guest is notified and shown alternative accommodation.
Check-in, keys, house rules - the rest is handled on Airbnb or Booking.com, like any other booking on your listing.
ELIGIBILITY / 001
Any active listing is all you need to start - Airbnb, Booking.com, or a private one of your own. This preview checks your details only; nothing is published yet.
FAQ / 001
The short version of how hosting on standbnb works. Still unsure? Ask us below.
standbnb works for almost anyone, especially travelers who are flexible or live nearby, and it also suits opportunistic planners. Say a family has booked three hotel rooms in Miami at $300 a night each, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before check-in. They can also book a luxury cabin that normally costs $1,500 a night for $900 on standbnb.
If you keep the booking, they stay somewhere they couldn't otherwise afford. If you cancel 48 hours out, they still have their hotel rooms. That safety net is why guests are willing to book at the lower price.
Listing is free, and pre-registration is open now. standbnb takes 10% of the price you advertise, with no other costs.
Because the 10% comes out of your advertised price, build it into the price you set. If you advertise $900 a night, you receive $810. To receive $900, advertise $1,000.
Your listing stays live at its normal rate the whole time. standbnb only touches it once you accept: we set the discount and make the booking on that listing, which closes the night there.
You are responsible for avoiding double bookings before you decide. Until you take the deal at the 48-hour mark, your calendar is untouched - so do not confirm those dates on Airbnb or Booking.com.
